 Technical Summary

    Obstacle Clearance Blade

The Dozer Blade provides an earthmoving and obstacle clearance capability for tracked armoured vehicles. Heavy (UDK 1) and Light (UDK 2) models are available for heavy and medium class vehicles respectively.

Overview
The Dozer Blade is designed to resist the forces that can be exerted by the vehicle during arduous bulldozing and obstacle clearance operations.

The blade is fitted with hardened steel cutting edges to give excellent performance in all ground conditions.

When not in use, the compact blade is raised and stowed close to the vehicle hull.

Dozer Blade can be used for:

4 Preparing defensive positions
4 Breaching defensive earthworks
4 Filling anti-tank ditches
4 Preparing ground for launching bridges
4 Ground levelling (using the ‘float’ facility
   and back-blading action)
4 Removing urban road blocks and rubble
4 Filling craters
4 Route opening
